TEX Rail Groundbreaking Ceremony in Grapevine

Using the same three-handled shovel used to break ground on Lake Grapevine in 1948, several Grapevine city leaders helped break ground on a new commuter rail project Wednesday morning.

The TEX Rail project will connect the T&P Station in downtown Fort Worth to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, while making stops in Grapevine and North Richland Hills along the way.

A ride for the entire 27 miles will take about 55 minutes, according to the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau.  You can read more about the project at the Tex Rail website.
